Wow has life been keeping me busy. Other than announcing the winner of my birthday giveaway I haven't shared anything for a long while. I'm taking today off from the chaos in my life to get caught up on what I want to do.

So to start, "How was my birthday?" Well it was great. Neil took me out eat at my favorite Chinese restaurant and we did some minimal shopping. (I've been doing plenty on my own!) We spent a quiet and simply fun day together. It was great bonding time.

Some of you may know that I share my birthday with my eldest brother Jerry, who is 7 years older than me. Also, my father's birthday was the 20th and a close cousin's was the 19th. So with that many birthdays that close together we always have a big family barbeque. There was a lot of family and a lot of food. It was great. My mom fixed most of the food and it was delicious. She made her homemade cheesecake, which is to die for. She makes it every year for our birthdays and I will never get tired of eating it. Of course, I received some birthday cards, money, and a lot of hugs.

This is the card I received from Neil. It's a cute pop up card that plays ...

"I'm so excited and I just can't hide it.
I'm about to lose control and I think I like it.
I'm so excited and I just can't hide it"

I love it! I sing this all the time when excitement hits, which is often

This was a gift from my Dad. It's something he's had stowed away for a while and he thought of me when he came across it. It's an ultra blue eagle handle ashtray made by Imperial Glass Company. It was made between 1942-1950 and retails for $45 to $90. My Dad researched all this and wrote it on a note card before he gave it to me. I love it and I'll treasure it forever.

Something that kept Neil and I both busy for a while, was car shopping. We looked and looked and finally found this 2007 Dodge Caliber. I love it! It's so easy to drive, handles great, and looks cool too!

Now that we have a new car, life is going a lot smoother. So you can expect to see more from me!
